Vietnam’s Ministry of Culture has approved permision to Vu Hoang My, 1st runner-up at the Miss Vietnam 2010 pageant, to represent the country in the 2011 Miss Universe competition in Sao Paulo, from August 20 to September 12.

Hoang My was supposed to represent Vietnam at the Miss Asia Pacific World pageant in Korea this June; after this contest got postponed -it was moved to October-, she will attend Miss Universe instead.

The owners of the Miss Universe franchise in Vietnam submitted all the neccessary paperwork for approval at the beginning of May. Since 2009, all Vietnamese contestants abroad are subjected to the conditions stated by the Ministry of Culture, in order to control the number of beauty competitions that take place in Vietnam yearly.

Vu Hoang My is 23 years old and stands 1.71 m tall. She is a student at RMIT University.

Lưu Thị Diễm Hương is a beauty pageant winner and student. Diễm Hương was born 1990 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. She is the reigning Miss Vietnam World 2010. Diễm Hương is the official representative of Vietnam in the Miss Earth 2010 pageant in Nha Trang, Vietnam.

Diễm Hương competed in the 10th edition of Miss Earth beauty pageant where she placed in the Top 14 of the final night. Prior to the final night, she made the Top 5 of the Miss Talent competition and she won "Best in Swimsuit".Luu Thi Diem Huong has smooth white skin fairly standard 3 laps. Before the finale took place, Ms Huong has been rated as one of the candidates likely to behave well. Her answers in the semifinal round for one of the most impressive answers. And also with this strong, beautiful girl from Ho Chi Minh city has excellent crowned Miss Vietnam World 2010.
