Sprint has just started taking per-orders for the CDMA iPhone 4 and has announced that it will start taking pre-orders for iPhone 4S from tomorrow, October 7th.
We knew Sprint is getting iPhone 4S, but we didn't realise that Sprint will also be selling the 8GB CDMA iPhone 4 along with it.On the webpage, dedicated to the iPhone, Sprint also confirms that it will be also offering iPhone users unlimited data plans and takes a dig at AT&T and Verizon:
Our competitors love to limit you to a measly 2GB of data usage. AT&T and Verizon give you unlimited text and talk, but they charge you extra after you reach that limit. At Sprint, our Everything Data plans give you unlimited data, messages and calls to or from any U.S. mobile phone nationwide while on the Sprint Network.
According to Sprint's website, it will be offering iPhone users the following plan options:
However, unlike Verizon and AT&T who charge $20 for the mobile hotspot feature, which gives users 2GB of data on top of the data plans, Sprint will be charging $29.99 for its mobile hotspot add-on, which gives users 5GB of data on top of the data plans. Verizon and AT&T charge users $10 for each additional 1GB of data over the 2GB limit.
It will be interesting to see if AT&T and Verizon responds to competition from Sprint. Do you plan to switch to Sprint? Let us know in the comments.
