Some Verizon iPad 2 Wi-Fi + 3G users have complained that they’re having problems connecting to Verizon’s 3G network.
Based on this Apple Discussions thread, it looks like Verizon iPad 3G users are facing the problem when they try to enable 3G to connect to Verizon’s network. All Things Digital reports that Apple has acknowledged the issue and is currently investigating it:
“We are aware that a small number of iPad 2 customers have experienced connectivity issues with the Verizon 3G network and we are investigating it,”
The issue doesn’t seem to be affecting AT&T’s iPad 2 Wi-Fi + 3G customers.
The issue can be resolved by following these steps:
1. Turn the cellular data switch to on.
2. Power off the iPad.
3. Power up the iPad.
4. Turn on cellular data. Data switch is already on.
5. The Verizon service turns on and connects properly.
Apple is rumored to release iOS 4.3.2 software update in the next two weeks, it needs to be seen if it will fix this annoying issue for Verizon iPad 2 users.
