Apple is expected to unveil iPad 2 at a special media event on Wednesday.
Based on the rumors and speculations that we’ve heard so far it looks like iPad 2 will be thinner, lighter, get a faster processor, more RAM and a front facing camera for FaceTime – Apple’s video calling feature and if the photo of what folks at 9 to 5 Mac claim is the front panel of iPad 2 is to be believed then it looks like the 2nd generation iPad may also come in white.9to5Mac reports:
Yes folks, it looks like the new iPad could come in white. That seems strange since Apple could not pull off an iPhone 4 with a white front, but I’m sure they figured out a way. Also, one of the reasons for the black frame that surrounds most of Apple’s displays is that it presents the image better visually. However, this image above, seems to refute all of that.
As you can see, the front panel also has a hole for the front-facing camera. When Apple launched iPhone 4 last year, we were told that it would be arriving in two color options – black and white but the white iPhone 4 has been delayed until Spring this year so take this rumor with a grain of salt.
But we have recently heard that an unknown Japanese company had developed a new paint material that will allow Apple to finally release the long-awaited white iPhone 4.
So it is possible that Apple will release a white iPad 2 as well (assuming that the issues would be the same for the iPad). Would you want one?
